Aren’t a Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse the Same Thing?
Some people thing that a medical assistant (MA) and a licensed practical nurse (LPN) are the same thing. This is far from the truth. A LPN is indeed a nurse and not a medical assistant. The school required for the two differs. You will see some LPNs working in hospitals on the floor in a clinical position as a nurse while you wouldn’t see a MA working clinically in a hospital.
