Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital conditions.”
As an orthopedic medical assistant you will work with orthepedic surgeons that provide services for most musculoskeletal problems. You will most likely assist in outpatient or in-office procedures including arthoscopes, splinting and casting. This is a very interesting career to have if you like bones.

Hand surgery
Shoulder and elbow surgery
Total joint reconstruction (arthroplasty)
Pediatric orthopedics
Foot and ankle surgery
Spine surgery

Oncology is medical specialty focusing on the treatment of cancer. A physician who practices oncology is an oncologist. Often, oncologists also practice hematology, which is the treatment of cancers (malignancies) and abnormalities in the blood.
